My name is Kristy, and this journal is going to document my thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). I am 30 years old and I live in Seattle, WA. I grew up in Anchorage, AK and moved to Seattle after graduating from Montana State University (Bozeman) in 2004. My passions include spending time with family and friends, hiking, back-country skiing, climbing, running, and cycling. I’ve spent the last five years working for PACCAR Financial Corporation. I am ready to take a break from the corporate world and reevaluate my professional life. I will be hiking solo, but I won’t be alone. I am planning to attend the ADZPCTKO (Annual Day Zero PCT Kick-Off) in Lake Moreno, CA the last weekend in April. At the Kick-Off, I will meet many other thru-hikers who will be starting at the same time. I am very excited to meet my PCT family.
