Today was good....it felt like we did a lot of miles even though it was a pretty typical day. I left camp earlier than usual with Nips and Wildflower......so good to be hiking with them again. It was great to catch up.
We did a lot of climbing today and didn't get many views until late in the day. However, it was worth the wait and we were rewarded with spectacular views of Shasta. It's great to be back in the land of big volcanoes!
Our camp is awesome, and our group is 12 strong. Tourist, Nugs, Nips, Wildflower, Itchy, Scratchy, Shameless, Sleeping Bag, Amigo, Fall Risk, and Mud Flap are all here. Dinner was ridiculously fun. Shameless carried a HUGE zucchini that some campers had given him yesterday when he was trying to yogi some soap for a shower and it was so good. It was the perfect addition to my pasta with spaghetti sauce, salmon, and parmesan cheese. Definitely one of my better dinners.
Really tired, so off to bed!
